About Graduate Credit

Credit

Each conference day consists of eight breakout session time periods, including a lunch session. Attendance at all eight time periods on both days is necessary to obtain the graduate credit hour from Ashland University. In addition, participants are required to complete the attached Attendance Sheet, turn in all certificates of attendance, register with Ashland University online, and complete an “Action Plan” as the final exam. The “Action Plan” serves as a plan to develop a new application for your classroom based on some of the ideas, concepts, or lessons learned at the Ohio Free-Tech Conference. The plan can be downloaded by clicking here.

Ashland University will grant one graduate credit hour upon successful completion of the above activities. This credit hour is based on a semester course schedule

Registration

Registration for the course itself will be online through Ashland University’s website. Only attendees of the Free-Tech conference may register. Course registration will only be open during the two days of each conference location and on the day immediately following the conference. Specific directions, the website address, and a listing of each location’s course number will be included in the registrant packet. Computers with internet access will also be available onsite for attendees to register throughout the conference.

Cost

Ashland University charges a fee of $172 for this graduate credit. The fee payment is handled directly through the Ashland University website and can be made when registering for the course. SmartEd Services is not adding any additional charges for course management. We thank Ashland for the opportunity to work with them.
